Religion Chapter 9 Test

Apostles’ Creed: a Christian statement of beliefs based on the teachings of Jesus Christ

and the faith of the Apostles.

Justice: treating everyone fairly and with respect.

Catholic social teaching tells us that we are all made in God’s image and have certain

human rights.

Each time we pray the Apostles’ Creed, we profess our faith.

The Holy Spirit guides the pope and bishops to teach the truth about Jesus.

Everyone in the Church are important parts of the Body of Christ.

Name two beliefs that we state in the Apostles’ Creed. (This can be any of the “I believe”

sentences in the prayer).

Antonyms: are two words that have opposite meanings. EX: open and closed

Social Studies V ocabulary Test

1.) Citizen: a person who belongs to a group or country.

2.) Government: a group of people in charge of managing a state or country.

3.) United States Constitution: a plan that states the duties of the government, and was

signed in law on June 21, 1788.

4.) Colony: an area that is controlled by another country.

5.) Revolutionary War: a war between the American Colonies and Great Britain.

6.) Articles of Confederation: a set of laws and is the first part of the plan for a new nation.

7.) United States Constitution: a plan for how to run the government.

8.) Benjamin Franklin: was involved in writing both the Declaration of Independence and

the U.S. Constitution.

9.) The Founders: the fifty men who wrote the United States Constitution.

10.) Constitutional Convention: when leaders met in 1787 to discuss how to set up a

stronger government.

2. Trip info- must wear the gym uniform, bring a paper bag and disposable water bottle for lunch. Please also bring a large snack since the students will be having late lunch. Students may wear a small backpack to carry their belongs.

3. Optional: students may bring money for the gift shop.
