Walking Together for a Greater Purpose
At Saint Mark Catholic Academy, every step we take reflects the strength of our school family, the spirit of our community, and our commitment to Catholic education.
We are excited to announce our 2026 Walk-A-Thon, taking place on Friday, May 29, 2026, during the school day. Students, faculty, families, and supporters will come together for a day filled with school spirit, teamwork, faith, and purpose as we walk from Saint Mark Catholic Academy to Manhattan Beach and back.
This year, our goal is to raise $60,000 to directly support student classroom resources and school improvements that continue to help our students grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
Why We Walk
The Saint Mark Walk-A-Thon is more than a fundraiser — it is a celebration of community and a reflection of what makes Saint Mark Catholic Academy special.
Every donation helps us continue to provide:
Every student to have access to books that spark curiosity
strengthen reading skills,
and foster a lifelong love of learning.
By investing in new and refreshed library collections now, we’re making an immediate impact for the upcoming school year.
At the same time, we are beginning a long-term effort to improve student desks across our school. While classroom libraries are the primary focus this year, desks will remain an important part of our walk-a-thon efforts moving forward, with a new primary focus highlighted each year.
Through this ongoing approach, we will replace desks gradually, based on classroom needs, ensuring steady progress until every student has an updated, comfortable place to learn.
Each step taken in this year’s walk-a-thon helps put better books into students’ hands today—and builds toward better learning spaces for tomorrow.
Together, we can make a lasting impact for every child who walks through our doors.
